VERB TENSES (Simple Present Tense, Present Continuous Tense)

Present continuous tense തുടര്‍ന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന വര്‍ത്തമാന കാലം
Present perfect tense പൂര്‍ണ്ണതയിലെത്തിയ വര്‍ത്തമാന കാലം
Present perfect continuous tense തുടര്‍ന്നു കൊണ്ടേയിരിക്കുന്ന വര്‍ത്തമാന കാലം

Simple Present Tense: സാമാന്യ വര്‍ത്തമാന കാലം
He drinks tea, Saleem writes a message, Rama Runs. Mother cradles me.
Subject + Verb + Object
കര്‍ത്താവിനനുസരിച്ച് ക്രിയയില്‍ മാറ്റം വരുന്നു.
മലയാളത്തില്‍ Subject + Object + Verb എന്നതാണ് വാചക ഘടന. He tea drinks (incorrect)
നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരുകാര്യം ഏറ്റവും ലളിതമായ വര്‍ത്തമാന കാലത്തില്‍ പറയുന്നതിനാണ് ഈ tense ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്.
കര്‍ത്താവ് Singular ആകുമ്പോള്‍ Verb ന്‍റെ കൂടെ S ചേര്‍ക്കണം. (drinks, writes, runs, cradles….)

കര്‍ത്താവ് Plural or I ആകുമ്പോള്‍ Verb ന്‍റെ കൂടെ S വേണ്ട . (drink, write, run, cradle….)
we drink, I drink, we write, I write, we run, I run, we cradle, I cradle
അഹങ്കാരം കൊണ്ടാവം, സായ്പ് I 'ഞാന്‍' എന്ന വാക്കിന് വലിയ പ്രാധാന്യമാണ് കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നത്.

Present continuous tense
വര്‍ത്തമാന കാലത്തില്‍ ഒരു സാമാന്യ വിവരം പറയുന്നതിന് Simple present tense ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. അല്‍പം കൂടി കാലദൈര്‍ഘ്യമുള്ളത് പറയാന്‍ continuous tense ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
ഇവിടെ ഒരു auxiliary verb കൂടിയുണ്ട്. അതാണ് is. ഈ സഹായ ക്രിയയും സാധാറണ ക്രിയയോടുകൂടി ing യും ചേര്‍ത്താല്‍ present continuous tense ആയി.
ഇവിടെയുംകര്‍ത്താവിന്‍റെ എണ്ണഭേദമനുസരിച്ച് isന് മാറ്റമുണ്ടാകുന്നൂ. കര്‍ത്താവ് ഏകവചനമാകുമ്പോള്‍ present continuous tenseല്‍ is എന്നും ബഹുവചനമാകുമ്പോള്‍ are എന്നും ചേര്‍ക്കുന്നു.
Saleem is running.
Saleem and Majeed are running.
He is talking.
They are talking.
We are playing.
I+am (am comes with I only).
I am talking.
